Structure

Membership

Membership is primarily open to Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs) who are interested in attending meetings, participating in campaigns and events or receiving information and updates from the Forum about its work.

Organisations who are not refugees or asylum seekers can join the Forum as supporters. A supporter is anyone who is not a refugee or asylum seeker but who is interested in the Forum's work and would like to be kept informed or offer their expertise. Supporters can attend select Forum meetings and be members of working groups.

Steering Group

The Steering Group reviews progress and advises on the direction of campaigns and other activities of the Forum in consultation with refugee and asylum seeking communities in Greater Manchester and the MRSN Management Committee.

Working Groups

The Forum runs working groups linked to the themes of the Refugee Charter for Manchester, which meet on a regular basis to push campaigns forward. Working groups give refugees and asylum seekers the skills and opportunity to influence service provision and decision making at both a local and national level.
